Who we are
AgroPulse Nigeria is operated by Symbiosis LLC. For the purposes of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, Symbiosis LLC is the data controller for the information you provide.
What we collect
When you register for alerts we collect your name, your mobile telephone number, your State, your Local Government Area if you provide one, your preferred language, and the alert types you select.
Why we collect it
We use this information for one purpose only: to send you the weather, flood and crop alerts you have asked for, in your chosen language, for your chosen location. We do not use it for anything else.
Our lawful basis
We process your information on the basis of your consent, which you give when you register. You may withdraw that consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We share your telephone number with Twilio, our text message provider, so that your alerts can be delivered. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not share it with any other third party except as required by law.
Where your information is held
Symbiosis LLC is registered in the United States, and we store and process your information there. By registering, you consent to your information being transferred outside Nigeria for this purpose.
How long we keep it
We keep your registration for as long as you wish to receive alerts, and for [RETENTION PERIOD] after you unsubscribe, after which we delete it.
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to withdraw your consent, and to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
How to stop receiving alerts
You cannot reply to our text messages because Nigerian networks do not allow replies to alerts like this. To stop receiving alerts, unsubscribe on your Farmer Dashboard at agropulse.ng, or write to us at the address below, and we will remove you.
